Husein has built a successful career focused on the transportation, logistics, and real estate industries that spans over twenty-five years that includes railroad, trucking, maritime and aviation assets.
In addition to his role with H.A. Cumber & Company, Inc., Husein holds executive or consulting positions at companies owned by funds managed by Fortress Investment Group LLC where he is the Senior Advisor of Brightline Trains after serving as Chief Strategy Officer for Florida East Coast Industries, LLC (FECI) from 2012-2025.
Husein supports Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure (FTAI) and FTAI Infrastructure (FIP), where he is involved with several development efforts at Repauno Port and Rail Terminal (New Jersey), Jefferson Energy Terminal (Texas), and the Long Ridge Energy Terminal (Ohio). At New Fortress Energy (NFE), Mr. Cumber works with the business development team focused on the delivery of liquid natural gas to domestic and foreign markets. Mr. Cumber led the pre-development activities for the first liquefaction plant in Florida and the conversion of FEC Railway’s locomotives from diesel to natural gas.
From 2005 to 2009, Husein served in the George W. Bush Presidential Administration as an Assistant to the Secretary for Policy and as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT).
Husein has been involved in the community throughout his career. Some of his current board positions include the Surface Transportation Board’s Passenger Rail Advisory Committee, the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and Take Stock in Children. He previously served as Vice Chair of JEA, the eighth largest community-owned electric utility company in the United States and the largest in Florida. Husein is a graduate and former Board Member of Leadership Florida.
Husein is a graduate of Duke University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in U.S. National Security.
Fontaine brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial and institutional banking, finance, and land development to his role at H.A. Cumber & Company. He spent the last decade at EverBank, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Regional Commercial Banking Director, where he advised clients across higher education, healthcare, and real estate development, including the direct placement of private activity bonds.
His background provides clients with deep expertise in project finance, risk assessment, and capital structuring. Mr. LeMaistre's land use and development experience also brings practical insight into feasibility, permitting, and infrastructure planning. He has further distinguished himself by drafting and lobbying for numerous grants offered by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Florida Department of Transportation, deepening his command of federal and state infrastructure funding mechanisms.
In addition to his professional experience, Fontaine is actively engaged in community leadership. He serves on the board of Alivia Care and is Chairman of both the Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care and Take Stock in Children.
At H.A. Cumber & Company, he applies this blend of financial acumen, development insight, and civic leadership to support ports, railroads, intermodal facilities, and municipalities in advancing infrastructure projects that drive economic growth and connectivity.
Fontaine is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a concentration in banking. He is also a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association Executive Banking School.
Stacey serves as Executive Operations Manager for H.A. Cumber & Company, Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in project coordination, executive support, administrative management, federal compliance, and stakeholder engagement, Stacey ensures that complex initiatives move forward with discipline, speed, and precision. In this role, she oversees day-to-day firm operations, supports federal and state grant pursuits and compliance, and provides high-level support to the team across transportation, infrastructure, and government affairs engagements.
Prior to joining H.A. Cumber & Company, Stacey served as Grant Manager at Brightline Holdings, managing the grant lifecycle from initial application strategy through award administration and compliance reporting. She worked closely with executives, technical teams, and public partners to align grant requirements with corporate objectives and regulatory obligations. Before Brightline, Stacey was with Florida East Coast Industries, where she played a key role in a broad range of projects and grant development activities in support of major corporate initiatives and long-term growth strategies.
Stacey’s career also includes roles in nonprofit management, higher education, and investment administration, including positions at Duke University and Yale, giving her a broad operational and institutional perspective. She is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a B.A. in English Literature from Central Connecticut State University.
